I can't tell if Silas is right- or left- handed because he's always using both, whether it's a crayon in each hand for coloring or double-fisting one of his favorite foods. Speaking of food....At lunch on Sunday, Matt sat down next to Silas with a sandwich and asked, "Do you want some?" Silas eagerly opened his mouth, then after finishing that bite, said, "More some!"
Silas is very good about giving hugs and kisses, and also makes sure that you remember to give him a kiss every time he hurts himself in the least. If you don't hurry, though, he'll just take care of it himself:Silas really likes to be helpful, and always wants to unload the dishwasher by dumping everything in the silverware drawer. He also likes to transfer clothes from the washer to the dryer. Once he's done pulling the last piece of clothing from the washer, he will stick his head in as far as he can get it and announce, "All gone!"
Don't be fooled, though.... Silas isn't adorable all the time. This is the look he gives me when I tell him something he doesn't want to hear.Right now we are working on learning to share. Some of it might be sinking in. The other day, Silas was playing with a toy next to us while I was getting Titus dressed. Titus reached out and grabbed hold of the toy and Silas immediately said, "No, Ti-ti! Share!"
I have to agree with Matt that this is a pretty fun age. I love watching Silas learn how to do new things, and experiment with putting words together. I do kinda miss the peace and quiet sometimes. We are definitely blessed to have grandparents close by to help out!
