Merry Christmas from the Jones Family!

I can't choose just one, so here's four of our best family photos this year:

Thanks to my sister-in-law Danae Jones for taking such great pictures!

I've never written a family Christmas letter, since I post pretty regularly on this blog about our misadventures raising two little boys. But I did enjoy reading all of those that were sent to us from you non-bloggers. :)

Our Year in Review

It was a wet, wet, spring, but we did take a little trip over the mountains. When summer finally came, we spent a lot of time at the pool, finished our final home improvement project (for now!), roasted s'mores, and celebrated Silas' 3rd birthday and Great-Grandma Jones' 80th birthday. We wrapped up the busy season with a trip to the zoo and Titus' 2nd birthday.

We made our annual fall outing to the pumpkin patch and celebrated Thanksgiving with family. Then we got ready for Christmas and even got a teensy bit of snow.

Now that the boys are getting older we have some big things planned for 2011, possibly even including their first camping trip. So stay tuned!

Thanksgiving

I just realized I totally forgot to blog about Thanksgiving! Well, in a nutshell,

there was food....

grandparents & games...

puppies...

and much abuse of the whip cream can...

Then, on day 2, there was more food... don't they wait so patiently?

More grandparents...

and more whip cream....

Christmas decorating

These were the reactions on the boys' faces when we told them it was time to get out Christmas:

They lost no time in helping carry the tree in from the garage:

Titus' turn to put the angel on the tree:

We keep the tree on top the fireplace. It's just safer that way.

First snow of the year

I'm a little late getting to blogging, but better late than never right?

Just before Thanksgiving we had enough snow to cancel school around here... which means this much:

Still, it was enough to thrill Silas (Titus was napping at the time).

Although, arguably his favorite part was drinking hot chocolate afterward.

Pumpkin Patch

October is not complete without a visit to the pumpkin patch. We ventured out last Saturday despite some threatening clouds and the boys each picked out a pumpkin.

Next, we headed over to the hay fort and hay maze. Both boys thought it was a ton of fun. Good thing Matt came too because they were running in opposite directions nearly the whole time!

It took a dead end to finally trap them in the same place for a picture.

We wrapped up the excursion with a ride in a trailer pulled by a tractor.

Titus is Two

Titus thoroughly enjoyed all of his birthday parties (we had three different celebrations because of family schedules and his actual birthday falling mid-week). Here's some highlights:

Presents....

Cake and ice cream....

A trip to the Gilbert House with the cousins....

The Zoo - 2010 installment

We were back to the zoo again this year, and the kids were even more into it this time. We did the double stroller thing again, and brought lots of snacks. Other than the fact that the zoo has gotten really expensive, I have no complaints!

We met up with cousin Abby and her parents since they were in town, and you would never have known it's been over a year since Silas and Abby had seen each other. They were holding hands for like an hour straight. It was pretty cute.

They tried to get Titus in on the hand holding but he was way too busy exploring.

Ooh, penguins... but wait, Titus says - it's a ledge, I should jump on and off it repeatedly!

Our best attempt at a cousins picture, minus Bryce, who I think was sleeping at the time.

Haven't they grown up since last year?
