The Zoo!

We recently tagged along with Grandma, Grandpa, and the cousins for the boys' first trip to the zoo.

Silas has decided he loves wearing his hat and sunglasses now. He wouldn't take them off.

Titus says, "Mom, I see you, I'm coming!"

Silas liked to jump out of the stroller and "run, run, run!" so he could get up close and see things.... like the sleeping bear.

Titus playing with some ball they let the tiger chew up:

The highlight for Silas was the 35 minute train ride through the zoo.

Titus spent a lot of time eating, as usual:

I realize there aren't many pictures of the animals in this post... but honestly, who wants to see animals when you can look at pictures of my cute kids? :)

Titus: 9 months

Weight: 19.6 lbs
Height: 29 inches

My most astute readers will notice that Titus weighs the same now as he did at 6 months... he had topped 20 lbs at 7 months, but then lost a pound and was down to 19 lbs at 8 months. This was mostly due to getting way more active and then being sick for a week, I think. He still eats a TON so I'm not worried. He's slowly gaining the weight back, and I'm sure he'll be back over 20 lbs by next month.

Titus loves....
climbing stairs

reading books... not just eating them

dodging his brother's kisses

his pacifier

his mommy

Trikes and Trouble

I got Silas a tricycle for his birthday and Matt couldn't wait to give it to him so we took him out the other evening to give it a spin. He can't quite pedal, but he loves going for rides with us pushing him.

When we got back inside he didn't want to take his helmet off.

Titus is climbing everywhere - Silas often calls out "Ty Ty trouble!"

Titus also got to make a trip to Redmond with me for another visit with new cousin Cameron. She's catching up in size, but she still needs to grow quite a bit more before she'll be able to defend herself from him.

The older cousins are all staying with Matt's parents for the next three weeks so the boys are having a great time being tugged around and entertained by them.

"If your world's got somethin' missing... "

"just put a truck in it."*

Why bring one truck downstairs for breakfast when you can bring three?

Because you need a truck to get you through every activity...

...like "helping" mom make cupcakes:

...watching a movie:

...and taking care of business:

Oh yeah, Bob still gets a little love:
